As I’m sitting at a local coffee house in Milwaukee during a snow storm. Trying to contemplate my next blog posting, planning shoots I’m styling and outlining my goals in my styling career for 2014, all I can think of is my gratitude for all the opportunities I have been given in the last year and the work that I have been able to do in the industry is beyond amazing. I guess the saying is true that your life can change within a blink of an eye. Thankfully it’s for the better. But it has been a long journey to get here. I have not always been the confident person I’am today, growing up I was the chubby kid who prayed that one day I could wear the same stuff as my friends and would leave fitting rooms crying because nothing fit me. That takes a toll on your self confidence a lot, with that low self esteem I grew older and was In a relationship that was very damaging. Once I got out of that I decided to love myself the way I’am and stop judging myself and start loving myself is when everything started to change. But Not until one day when I saw a chubby girl about 15 yrs old at the mall crying in the fitting room of a store cause nothing she tried on worked for her and I decided to help her find something that worked for her, and after seeing the joy in her face and the confidence of a good outfit I decided to make it my mission. To show plus size women how to be happy and confident and stylish! STYLE isn’t just for size 2’s . This journey has been a whirlwind, it’s been crazy and I love every minute of it. So this is my goal for 2014: not just to advance my styling career, but to make get the message out that every girl is beautiful and can have great style no matter what size, shape, weight , age or height they are! Get ready 2014 cause their is gonna be a lot of confidence coming your way!
