So this week I had the amazing chance to partner with Shepherd Express and give one Lucky lady a makeover for the 2016 Woman Up Expo. I will be sharing the journey that I had with the contest winner soon. I thought in the spirit of makeovers that I would share with you all me 5 Steps to give yourself a quick makeover. This can be used as a great way to update the wardrobe that you already have!
First way is with Outwear! This is a great layering piece especially in the fall and winter months. Blazers, fun faux fur vests ( no animals should be harmed when it comes to making a fashion statement) , a duster, kimono, or sweater. There are literally SO MANY options that you can add to an outfit when it comes to outerwear that will totally transform your outfit from drab to fabulous!
Next up is Accessories! Adding a scarf , necklace or hat to an outfit will pull it all together that will elevate the look like no other. This season is all about BROOCHES,so add them to your handbags, your hats, your scarfs or your outfit itself and you will be right on trend.
Third, changing your hairstyle. Cutting into a fun new style or changing up the color can drastically change the way your wardrobe looks. If you are not willing to go to that extreme you can always try just a new way to styling it. Be on the look out for some Vloggers that show you tutorials.
Makeup is the next tip and probably the most inexpensive way to change your look. Add a pop of color with a fun lip shade, maybe try out a smokey eye or just adding false lashes to make your eyes a big statement
Lastly is HANDBAGS. Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a purse freak! They are the best way to be able to add some prints or colors to the outfit that will give an unexpected pop. You can add either classic bags or fun novelty depending on the day and they are great way to be able to give the same look a totally different vibe with just a bag swap.
