Guess what! It FINALLY snowed here in Wisconsin. Ok, it might have only been a dusting but still I’ll take it. Growing up in Milwaukee has always meant loads of snow every winter for the holiday season, so I have to admit, this fairly dry winter is making it hard to get in the Christmas spirit lately. But waking up to a dusting of fresh powder has definitely put me in full on winter mode now. Baked some Christmas cookies, watched Elf and of course busted out a fabulous winter coat while running errands.
This coat makes me feel like a total badass, like I’m channeling my inner Cookie from Empire. Plus it’s so cozy! Since this coat is such a statement piece it is key to keep the rest of the outfit toned down a bit. So I kept the look very monochromatic in all black; leather leggings, thigh high boots and a chiffon top. But trust me no matter what you wear with this coat you are sure to turn heads!
