Throwing together an outfit in a pinch!

Not going to lie, this outfit was completely thrown together last minute for brunching with my BFF. And we all know how last minute outfits can go. Either they are a home run or a total disaster! Thankfully I loved this outfit and realized that there are some fundamental pieces here to build a great summer outfit when you are in a pinch.

1. Cute shorts: For summer a good pair of comfortable shorts are key to have in your wardrobe. These are high waisted, semi relaxed dark denim short. And for all of you ladies who think they can’t wear shorts cause of cellulite, WHO THE F CARES!!! Everyone has cellulite so embrace yours and learn to love it!

2. Graphic tee: I love a good graphic tee moment. They are such a great way to show your fun side, add a bad ass vibe with classic rock band tees or even some nostalgia with a tee featuring something you grew up loving. (like anything from the 90’s for me) We all have countless graphic tees so incorporating them into your wardrobe and not just wearing them for pjs are a perfect way to add some sass to an outfit. So for this look, I had to celebrate Bieber’s engagement with a Bieber tee that I bought years ago in a drunken online shopping spree.

3. Boyfriend Blazer: Blazers and jackets are a must in my wardrobe, but summertime isn’t the best time to break them out with the hot temps. So, a lightweight oversized boyfriend blazer can be the perfect layer when you go inside to the frigid air conditioning! Plus who doesn’t love this lilac color!

4. Mules: In my opinion, mules are the must have shoe of the season. They are comfy, chic and come if so many varieties! These lilac, bow front mules match the blazer perfectly and were $6 at Target!
