Exploring my own state

One thing I have noticed, now being a full-time blogger, is that I tend to get stir crazy a lot quicker. I was in desperate need of a little getaway. But instead of jet setting to somewhere warm, I decided to explore my own state! So often we want to go on a HUGE vacation and we forget to explore all the cool thing our own state has to offer. So I decided to head to the Wisconsin state capital for a little girls night away with my mom in Madison!

For this quick lil R&R getaway, I was lucky enough to partner with Graduate Hotels. The minute I walked into this adorable hotel, I fell I love with the decor. The cozy cabin theme is apparent in every corner of this hotel, which makes it hard to do anything but relax.

The attention to details in every inch of this hotel is impeccable. Since it is located right in the heart of Uw-Madison collegiate touches peppered into the cabin vibe, without being overdone. Then just when you thought it couldn’t get cuter, you head up to the rooftop restaurant.

The restaurant and bar will bring you right back to your summer camp days. But this camp has boozy Capri Suns! It has a homey vibe with cozy blankets, board games and more kits to make on those rooftop terrace fire pits.

After dinner and drinks, we headed back to the room to just uber eats dessert and watch trashy tv. (A tradition my mom and I do anytime we are in a hotel) But this hotel is in the heart of campus life so if you want to hit the bar scene you are so close to the action! Plus the hotel has a free shuttle for you!

After a peaceful night sleep, it was time to hit the town! Now on to what we did in Madison!

• Capital Tour (free)

• shopping of course (so many cute little shops!)

• Surprised my mom with making custom Adult Bff necklaces at Kendra Scott ( full post on that coming soon)

•eat, drink, relax

While this little getaway was short and sweet, it was EXACTLY what I needed! And made me want to explore more cities in Wisconsin! Any suggestions on where I should go next?

Thank you so much Graduate Hotels for having me!
